Equal Opportunity Modelling

As an equal opportunity modeller I thought I'd allow my other locomotive to experience the new track which gives those who prefer steam locomotives something to watch.

  1. Reminds me of an O+K diesel I was once aquainted with, a non-runner, it had spent its life going around in circles on a pleasure track. Unfortunetely it was never turned to face the opposite direction and consequently the wheels on one side (the 'outer' side) were badly worn as a result.

    1. Good point, I'll definitely have to remember to turn the models periodically, but it is great having them run continuously. Seriously mesmerizing!

  2. That's great. There's also the huge satisfaction of knowing that the loco is something you built, the lovely wagons are by you and so's the track. I could sit and watch a loco going round and round for ages, it's somehow cathartic...another undocumented benefit of railway modelling!

    1. It's very satisfying you're right about that. I'm really hoping that I can get the chassis for the Hudson-Hunslet to work as then I'll be able to claim I've built pretty much everything you can see.

    2. That should have said "designed and built"
